Sourcing funding

Nikki is experienced at sourcing funding for projects, and writing funding applications to a variety of grant giving bodies. She has successfully sourced funding for expresseum poetic’s work from organisations including; Heritage Lottery Fund, Museum Development East Midlands, Museums Forum, Writing East Midlands, Leicester and Leicestershire NHS Partnership Trust, Arts Council England.

Project planning

Nikki’s particular strength is the meticulous planning and preparation of project outlines so that unpleasant surprises are not encountered along the life of a project. This work includes creating detailed breakdowns of potential expenditure and budgeting for projects, the creation of timelines and project milestones for delivery, and recruiting facilitators to deliver work. Nikki is also experienced at implementing the necessary paperwork before project work can be started, for example securing partnership agreements, carrying out risk assessments, or arranging DBS checks and contracts for facilitators.

Managing a project throughout its life

Nikki is experienced at managing projects so that they run to schedule and within budget. This includes the management of expenditure, staff who are delivering the project, and the securing of resources such as purchasing arts materials, booking workshop spaces or arranging transportation.

Drawing a project to a close

Nikki is experienced in all the procedures needed to complete a project. This includes finalizing budget expenditure and ensuring all invoices and other such paperwork is complete, completing end of grant reports required by funders, and promoting the outcomes of a project, such as legacy website. Nikki can also write evaluation reports or advocacy documents to celebrate the achievements of projects.
